Montepepe wines are born between the Candia hills
and the Tuscany coast
the territory
Montepepe winery is located on the lower slopes of a hill near Montignoso (Massa Carrara) a few kilometers from the Versilia sea, in the area of the DOC Colli di Candia and IGT Costa Toscana. The proximity of the sea and the Apuan Alps creates a special microclimate, made of windy summers and mild winters.
The extension of the vineyard is about 5 hectare and he is equally divided between red and white varieties cultivated with a head-trained pruning of the vines and an espalier training and vines planted at 0,6 meters from each other.
